Rangers with the Bureau of Land Management’s Missouri Breaks Interpretive Center and Upper Missouri River Breaks National Monument invite the public to attend free, family-friendly fun activities during June.
Plus, the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center is hosting the 37th annual Lewis and Clark Festival June 20-21.
- June 20, 6:30-8 p.m.: the first evening includes a performance by Fancy War Dance Academy for Prime Time Players and 7 p.m.
- June 21, 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. – Stop by the Great Falls Lewis and Clark Festival, 4201 Giant Springs Road, and say, “hi,” to the BLM monument staff and our U.S. Forest Service friends at the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center, as they share the history about the Lewis and Clark Expedition as it traveled through Montana. Don’t miss the MBIC’s special presentation at noon in the theater. Supaman is the featured entertainer at 2 p.m. Saturday starts with the Swivel Gun demo at 9:30 a.m. The Adventure Challenge runs until 1 p.m. The Lewis and Clark Encampment runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. with demonstrations, traditional games, displays and more. Inside there will be speakers in the theater, a pop-up art sale with Montana artist Lea Frye, plus John Fischer and the medicine of the Corps.
- June 28, noon through early afternoon – Visit with monument staff and teammates from our BLM North Central Montana District at their downtown warehouse, 1718 Front Street, during the Fort Benton Summer Celebration. They’ll have fun ranger-led activities for the kids, and you’ll see us in the downtown parade.
Visitors can visit the Missouri Breaks Interpretive Center, Monday through Saturday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., including holidays, all summer long. Admission is free for all ages.
