Neighborhood councils, Council of Council meetings, Oct. 21-24

Two neighborhood councils and the Council of Councils meet this week.

Neighborhood Council 5 meets at 7 p.m. Oct. 21 in the Great Falls Clinic Specialty Center Conference Room, 3000 15th Ave. S.

Agenda items include a Great Falls Police Department presentation on the citizens academy and crime trends in the council area, council business and neighborhood concerns.

Great Falls Citizens Council, also known as the Council of Councils, meets at 7 p.m. Oct. 22 in the Gibson Room at the Civic Center.

Each of the city’s nine neighborhood councils will be represented along with two City Commission members.

Agenda items include an update from the Great Falls Police Department, information about the Cascade County Adult Detention Center from Sheriff Jesse Slaughter, council reports and neighborhood concerns.

Neighborhood Council 4 meets at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 24 at the Heritage Baptist Church, 900 52nd St. N.

Agenda items include a presentation from Sheriff Jesse Slaughter on the Cascade County Adult Detention Center and neighborhood concerns.

Monthly agendas are posted on the Neighborhood Council meeting calendar at least 48 hours prior the scheduled meeting.

In Great Falls, there are nine neighborhood councils. Their purpose is to serve the citizens by providing a direct link to city government within the neighborhoods. Each council is made up of five members elected by the voters in that council area. WebsiteFacebook
