AAUW annual book sale underway at Great Falls library

The American Association of University Women, Great Falls branch’s book sale is underway on the third floor of the Great Falls Public Library.

The sale features used hardcover and paperback books, DVDs, games, CDs and other various items in good condition.

They’re also selling raffle tickets for a quilt. Raffle tickets are $2 each or $6 for 10.

They are taking cash, card or checks.

The full price sale runs Oct. 16-19. Hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, plus 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday.

The half price sale is Oct. 23-25. Hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday and Friday and 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday.

The sack sale is 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 26.

The Great Falls branch of the AAUW has been active since 1914, making it one of the oldest women’s service groups in Montana. The branch currently has about 50 members living in the Great Falls area.

The book sale is their major fundraiser annually and proceeds support scholarships for those seeking bachelor and associate degrees. AAUW Great Falls also donates funds to the

In 2010, they expanded the book sale to two weeks in October.

In addition, the branch donates funds the GFPL, Wedsworth Memorial Library in Cascade, the Belt Public Library and the library at Great Falls College MSU.
