Neighborhood councils meet March 4-8

Updated March 4 with the amended agenda for NC3.

Two neighborhood councils meet next week.

Neighborhood Council 6 meets at 6:30 p.m. March 6 in the Sunnyside School library.

Agenda items Sunnyside Park basketball court update, council updates and neighborhood concerns.

Neighborhood Council 3 meets at 6:30 p.m. March 7 in the Riverview School music room.

The meeting will also be streamed live on the council’s Facebook page.

Agenda items include NeighborWorks, Facebook updates, committee reports, Skyline and Valley View parks fundraising, and neighborhood concerns.

The council will also consider a request to rezone 1525 3rd St. N.W. from M-2 mixed use to C-2 commercial to establish a casino.

Lonnie Hill, deputy city planning director, will present the item with Joe Murphy, representing Town Pump.

Monthly agendas are posted on the Neighborhood Council meeting calendar at least 48 hours prior the scheduled meeting.

In Great Falls, there are nine neighborhood councils. Their purpose is to serve the citizens by providing a direct link to city government within the neighborhoods. Each council is made up of five members elected by the voters in that council area. WebsiteFacebook
