Holiday Gift Guide

It’s been a tough year for all of us, but local businesses are feeling the pinch more than most and they’re only as strong as the community that supports them.

We asked a bunch of local businesses to share some of the items they had available and here’s their suggestions for holiday gifts this season.

Small Business Saturday is Nov. 28. Since the Parade of Lights and Christmas Stroll were canceled due to COVID-19, the Downtown Great Falls Association has extended the Small Business Saturday through Dec. 5 to encourage the community to shop locally.

If you’re not sure what to get, pick up downtown gift certificates from the Downtown Great Falls Association in various increments that can be used at participating merchants, which include most of downtown. You can pick up certificates at the downtown office at 318 Central Ave. and view the participating merchants here.

The Farmer’s Daughter Fibers

Candice English has put together a gift guide for items available in her shop, The Farmer’s Daughter Fibers, at 320 Central Ave.

“And while this time of the year is magical and full of cozy joy, it can be hard for many. I lost my Dad as a young teenager and that loss is always felt a little deeper during the Holidays. This year many of us…. most of us, have experienced loss of some sort. Our knitting and fiber arts might not be able to fill that hole or undo all our burdens, but it sure makes it a bit easier. Our hope is the lovely creative energy we have put into our Gift Guide this year will lift you up for months to come,” English wrote in her guide. “We have added as much inventory to these as possible, to not immediately run out. However, many of these items are limited. You can pass this email along to your loved ones, pick up something special for your knitting buddies, or just treat yourself.”
