The Montana Department of Transportation is seeking public comment on a proposal to resurface about one mile of Interstate 315, on the west side of Great Falls. The project begins at the 10th Avenue South exit on I-315 and extends east to Fox Farm Road. The project will include the 10th Avenue South I-15 ramps and the 14th Street Southwest I-315 interchange ramps.
Proposed work includes milling the existing asphalt surface, applying a new overlay and finishing with a chip seal. Signing, pavement marking, and guardrail will be replaced. Bridge work is proposed on the 14th Street Southwest overpasses as well. The purpose of the project is to extend the life of the pavement and upgrade the roadway features up to current standards.
The project is tentatively schedule for construction in 2020, depending on completion of all project development activities and availability of funding.

The Montana Department of Transportation is seek public comment on a proposal to resurface about 6.91 miles of Highway 89, north of Monarch. The project begins at the intersection of US 89 and S-427, at reference post (RP) 53.3 and extends north ending approximately at RP 60.3.
Proposed work includes an overlay and finishing with a seal and cover (chip seal), upgraded pavement markings, guardrail upgrades and new signage. These improvements will prevent future pavement deterioration, extend the life of the roadway, provide a friction course and improve the safety of the roadway for the traveling public.
The project is tentatively scheduled for construction in 2020, depending on the completion of all project development activities and availability of funding.
