The Great Falls Public Schools board unanimously approved a new contract with Eide Bailly for audit services during their April 13 meeting.
The district is legally required to conduct professional audits annually.
After completing the 2025 audit, GFPS’ three year contract with Eide Bailly was completed and district officials discussed a new contract with the firm.
Eide Bailly provided a proposal for the next two fiscal years, which are 2025-2026 and 2026-2027.
The proposal was based on the regular district audit and up to three single audits of specific federal programs, according to GFPS.
If fewer single audits were required, the district would only be charged for the number completed.
The Eide Bailly fees are:
- annual financial statement audit
- $71,500 for 2025-2026
- $75,075 for 2026-2027
- single audit, up to three major programs
- $25,725 for 2025-2026
- $27,000 for 2026-2027
- if additional or less major programs are required to be tested, the per program fee will be adjusted $8,575 for 2025-2026, and $9,000 for 2026-2027
- out-of-pocket expenses, $8,000 each year
- technology fee, a five percent fee added to the service fee to support and enhance the quality of work
- $4,861 for 2025-202626 and $5,104 for 2026-2027, a 5 percent technology fee will be added to the service fees to support and enhance the quality of work.
In their proposal, Eide Bailly wrote that the firm’s existing relationship gives them “insight into your operations and priorities, allowing us to deliver solutions that align with your vision for success. Our fees are based on the complexity of the issue and the experience level of the personnel necessary to address it.”
If additional services are requested, Eide Bailly will get GFPS approval of fees before beginning such work.
