Free parking downtown starts Dec. 14

Parking in downtown Great Falls is free Dec. 14-25.

The city has more than 1,000 metered spaces in the downtown district and is continuing the annual tradition of not charging for parking the week before Christmas.

The two hour maximum parking limit at all parking meters remains in effect to “ensure everyone has access to parking,” according to the city.

“Providing free parking during the holiday season is one way the city can help support our local business community and encourage residents to shop and dine downtown. Buying locally helps all of us while strengthening our local economy,” Planning and Community Development Director Craig Raymond said in a release.
