The River’s Edge Trail Foundation is hosting a memorial for Doug Wicks on Thursday at 5:30 p.m.
The foundation is inviting the community to gather near the pelican stature near the federal courthouse and to share memories of Wicks, along with honoring his accomplishments with the trail. There will be a candlelight memorial walk to honor one of the trail’s founders.
The foundation will provide memorial rocks to write on and candles as they walk toward the West Bank Park parking lot.

Wicks passed away in late August while trimming bushes on the trail.
