County to hold CDBG needs hearing on May 22

Cascade County Commissioners will hold a public hearing on May 22 to gather public comment for the Community Development Block Grant program.

The county is looking for comment on the county’s overall community development, public facilities, economic development and housing and neighborhood revitalization needs, including the needs of low to moderate income individuals.

The meeting will be part of the regular commission meeting at 9:30 a.m. in the commission chambers at the Courthouse Annex, 325 2nd Ave. N., Room 105.

The county is also seeing comment on the activities that should be undertaken to meet the identified needs and to determine their relative priority. The commission may apply for state or federal funding through the Montana CDBG program and other sources to deal with local housing and neighborhood revitalization needs, public facility needs or other community needs.

Comments may be given verbally during the hearing or submitted in writing before 5 p.m. May 21.
